Yoga for teens and adults

We live in a stress filled world, finding practices that can help us step out of  intense patterns of anxiety, tension, worry and overload is life-changing. Introducing students to the teachings of yoga can help them to make positive changes to reduce those harmful and sometimes debilitating patterns. Seeing students leave class with a sense of calm and relaxation is the highest complement, hearing that students are using what they have learned in class off the mat is a great honor.

Through yoga postures, breath work, dynamic movement, and learning to listen to and be connected to our bodies we can make small and large changes that have positive outcomes in our daily lives.

  • Monday 4:30-5:30 Tweens & Teens @ Yoga Heights, Takoma. 255 Carroll Street NW, Washington, DC. On-going classes, drop-ins are welcomed.

  • Thursday 6:30-7:45 Pregnancy Yoga @ Realignment Studios, 541 Pennsylvania Ave, SE, Washington, DC. Hosted by Breathing Space Family Yoga. February 21st-March 28th. Drop-ins welcomed.

  • Sunday 5-6 pm. Community Yoga. A FREE all level class, open to all in the community. Teachers rotate, Hyattsville Municipal Building, 4310 Gallatin Street. Bring a mat.
